Report by Shannon

This is probably the best (spook) show I have ever gone to. And the best reason I've stayed up until 3 a.m.

The first band that played for us were D&L, but this is a Candy Spooky Theater review!

Before The Show
Before the show while we were all waiting huddled close to the stage (It was a small room, small stage, couldn't hold so many people) they pulled out a big sign with the PMX logo on it. We all knew Peggy Giggles was behind it messing with the amplifiers, the polka-dot dress that had shown through gave him away. Just a fun...fact to say.

I can't remember every detail that happened in the very beginning, this at least 20-something boy came out (Producer/announcer?) and told us that The Candy Spooky Theater would only come out if we made a lot of noise. And we did. After a minute or two they came out for us. (Whooo!) and "This Is Halloween" from Nightmare Before Christmas started playing. We all sang along while Jack Spooky had his neck craned out, very slowly looking left and right with his spooky different style contacts. He wore his soft black hat and a black and white vertical striped tailcoat, with one tail cut off. I believe he was wearing pants and boots, also. (This is coming from a girl at the very front, a foot from the stage, although I was staring at his face...) His hair was long and black with the back fluffed up. He looked great! I couldn't get a good look at Kiddy Skeleton's outfit, I was between Peggy and Jack's side of the stage.

The Candy Spooky Theater Songs
So, after we were done singing Jack's favorite song, they played "Devilish Kidnapper". Kiddy broke a guitar string, but hey, he was into it. During the string-changing process, Peggy was alone on stage, with some of the audience yelling "Bass solo! Bass solo!" and Peggy flipped them off. Such a cute thing I thought he was before! After a short while they began playing again, songs such as "Strip", "Merry-Go-Round", and "Spook House". During "Merry-Go-Round", Jack Spooky stared right at me and held his hand out, but I couldn't reach his spooky white powdered hand. He made it up to me afterwards by holding my hand and just...feeling it all over. He's a strange thing. But he's one of my idols. Between almost each couple of songs, Jack would take out his puppet and do his ventriloquist act. He's really good!

After The Show / My Peggy Encounter
During "Spook House", Jack held his hands up in the air and clapped to the beat of the song and shook his hips, it was adorable, so I decided to add it in here. After the show he said "Bye, Bye". Another adorable thing! But a wonderful thing happened after the show - I needed to use the restroom! Why's that wonderful...because a certain bassist ALSO had to use the restroom. Once I was done doing my business, my dad was waiting outside the restrooms, and he told me "Stay here." And after a whisper-argument on if Peggy was really there, the door opened and there the man in a dress was. So after semi-fainting, I tapped him on the shoulder, he turned around, I spread my arms out like a bird, and said (In English..crazy me..) "Can I have a hug?" And yes! He grinned, took a few steps closer toward me, and hugged me tight! It was so amazing I can barely remember the hugging part. Then he went off down the short hallway, everyone else saw him, and then he had to run out the back door. The 20-something boy was with him through all this also, but of course I didn't ask him if I could give Peggy a hug (like the older girls did). That would be silly. Nobody really liked that guy, he was too uptight.

So long! I'll make this part short. Then was the merch sales, autographs, and photo session. They had photo sets for sale, three different posters (one with each member, and the "group" photo on the other side) Prince of Darkness, Wonderland, and The Bedroom. Pretty much everyone got the ten dollar poster (I bought all three CD's, and the Jack poster) and got that signed. Jack's writing was beautiful, too. Kiddy drew a pentagram next to his name, Jack drew a bat next to his, and Peggy drew a heart by his cute girly signature. After this you could line up next to the stage to get your picture taken with TCST. Jack sitting to your right, Kiddy standing behind you, and Peggy sitting to your left. It was truly awesome being next to Jack Spooky (I told ya..he's one of my idols!) And he was the only band member to say "Bye" to me after the autograph and photo. Was it because all I said to them was "Bye Jack"?
